From a young age, dance has been one of Clio‘s greatest passions. Originally training in ballet, jazz, and modern, she later discovered the joy in learning new styles. She now has experience in hip hop, heels, pole dance, bellydance, dancehall, and more. For partner dances, she especially enjoys Latin styles such as salsa, bachata, kizomba, and zouk.
While she is from the Greater Boston area, Clio spent some time in South Carolina at university, where she had numerous opportunities to create and choreograph with other professional dance students as a member of the Dance Company. She began teaching at this time as well, often bringing together different dance styles in her choreography and performances. She also began using videography and film in her projects. This new medium allowed her to incorporate other artistic elements that could easily be shared with others.
As a teacher, Clio likes to encourage creativity and expression. Her philosophy is that dance is one of the best ways to connect, both to music and to those we are dancing with.
