Elaine Quintero Zayas – Instructor

Elaine Quintero Zayas is a passionate professional dancer with a strong background in many styles of dance from contemporary, folkloric, and ballet dance to hip hop, jazz, and ballroom! She is also an experienced choreographer who specializes in dance fusion and theatrical performances.

A graduate of Cuba’s National Dance School, Elaine has honed her craft through workshops with prestigious dance companies–such as Danza Contemporánea de Cuba and the National Folkloric Ensemble of Cuba–and with renowned teachers–such as Rosario Cardenas, Santiago Alfonso, Susana Pons, and Miguel Iglesia. In Havana, she was a member of the Ballet Rakatan company directed by Nilda Guerra and the Danza Teatro Retazos company. Most recently, she danced under the direction of Serpil Sunay as a member of the Balance Event Company in Turkey.

Her career has taken her to some of Cuba’s most prominent stages, including the Gran Teatro Alicia Alonso and the National Theater of Cuba. In addition to her stage performances, she has been featured in music video collaborations with renowned artists.

Recognized for her talent and skill, she has won awards in both performance and choreography. At the Rumba Competition of the Fiesta del Tambor Festival “Geraldo Piloto”, she won First Prize in Rumba. In 2023, at the International Ballet Competition of Cuba, she won First Prize in the youth category as a choreographer.

With experience as a professional dancer, choreographer, and teacher, Elaine not only shines on stage but also shares her deep love for dance with every student she teaches.
