The Astaire Awards Ball 2016 is our next big event and it is a weekend of outstanding performance, competition and glamour. This is dance at its finest.
The Astaire Awards Ball 2016 begins on Friday, June 17 at 5 p.m. and continues through Sunday, June 19 at The Hilton Scottsdale Resort and Villas.
Friday’s festivities include Country-Western events, solo, novelty and showcase events and all of the professional activities.
On Saturday, competition begins at 9 a.m. and continues through a wonderful lunch served in The Grand Ballroom.
During the evening on Saturday we host our big awards ceremony with top student and Arizona professional performances, including a special performance by Ilya Velednitsky and Mariya Ilchenko, our two-time Professional Open Rhythm Champions from Fred Astaire Wisconsin. The evening also includes a fabulous cocktail party beginning at 5:15 p.m. and banquet dinner to follow. Formal attire is requested.
Our namesake and founder, Fred Astaire, brought remarkable flair and elegance to dance and we will do the same with Astaire Awards Ball 2016.
