The Fred Astaire Trophy System helps our dancers know exactly where they stand as they pursue their program. And that’s one of the reasons we so much enjoy our Level Passing, which is the official testing/level passing of our curriculum.
On Tuesday, Nov. 6, at 6:45 p.m. in the Chandler studio, our students get the opportunity to dance for coach Stephen Knight. He will evaluate and score their dancing in preparation for Trophy Ball in December.
Stephen started with FADS in 1976. Partnering with Rae Josephs, they became 3-time United States American Rhythm Finalists, and 6-time undefeated Fred Astaire American Rhythm Champions. Stephen is widely known and respected for his choreography.
We’ve got Dancing With Our Stars set for Thursday, Nov. 15 at 7 p.m. in the studio. Our students will be performing a quick show to one of their favorite dances. Think of it as an adult dance “recital.” This event gives the students an opportunity for their friends and family to come watch them dance! That sense of appreciation that our dancers get from an audience is hard to match.
