The results are in and we couldn’t be more proud of our Cypress dance studio! This past weekend we held our annual regional competition, Dance Derby, at the Westin in Austin, TX. Friday, June 9th, was our Team match and Professional competition.
Two of our very own instructors, Richard Kaszas and Foteini Pangea, competed and placed 1st in Closed Rhythm, 1st in Open International Latin, and 1st in Show Dance! Way to go you two!
Saturday night we held our Dance Derby Dinner at the Westin, which included a fabulous performance by professionals Hayk Balasanyan and Emilia Poghosyan that was enjoyed by so many of our wonderful students.
Competitions are a regular part of Cypress dance studio’s yearly calendar. At Competitions, students meet, mingle and compete with other student dancers in order to feel accomplished and confident as dancers. Participating in these events gives every student and student/teacher team the opportunity to progress more rapidly in their dance endeavors and have fun along the way.
