My fiance and I had our first dance lesson with Ferg and he was an absolute pleasure!! You can tell he has a passion for what he does and makes you feel comfortable right off the bat. Amazing dance studio and instructors especially Magui and Ferg. My hubby and I are one month into lessons and just signed up for another three months. We love the studio vibe and everyone has been very friendly and welcoming. Excited about our dance journey!
Took my 1st lesson today with Ferg and he helped ease my nerves so much - what I expected to be an intimidating situation was quite the opposite and I cannot wait till my next session!

I started attending Fred Astaire on August 21, 2026, during one of their Open House Dance Parties, and I absolutely love the atmosphere, the friends I went with and made, and most importantly, my dance instructor Ferg. He’s a professional dancer from Europe, and I can honestly say he’s incredible. I highly recommend this studio—you won’t be disappointed. I had been wanting to come here since after Covid, and I finally made it happen. Don’t wait like I did. I had given up dancing 35 years ago, gained a lot of weight, and was stiff and in pain. Just after three lessons with Ferg, I’ve noticed a real difference, and I couldn’t be more proud. Ferg promised he would help change me, and it’s clearly showing! I’m truly grateful to Ferg and everyone at Fred Astaire Dance Studio!

I had the pleasure of taking demo dance classes on Monday and Tuesday at Fred Astaire Dance Studios in Cypress, and I can honestly say… they made me feel good, just like the song says! 💃❤️
From the moment I walked through the door, I felt welcomed. The facilities are absolutely top-notch, and the entire staff and instructors are so warm, friendly, and professional.
And then there was Ferg, my fabulous instructor! Somehow, I think fate knew exactly what it was doing when it led me to him. I wouldn’t have changed him for anyone else.
What I loved most was his teaching method. Ferg literally led me onto the dance floor by the hand, explained the steps and movements, and taught me what to expect from him as the leader so I could learn how to be a good follower. He paid attention to how I naturally responded to the twists, turns, steps, and counting. He knew when to offer a respectful observation, when to make a suggestion, and—my favorite part—when to tell me I was doing a great job.
And he definitely put me to the test! 😂 He squeezed my dancing inner self to the extreme. We danced, I messed up, I blamed HIM (because… negativity jar! 😂—our little inside joke), and we laughed about it.
But beyond the dancing, what really stayed with me was how good they made me feel. I felt encouraged, challenged, welcomed, and genuinely happy.
Sometimes you walk through a door and simply know you were meant to be there. That’s how I felt at Fred Astaire Cypress.
Five stars from me! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

My husband and I tried Fred Astaire's dance studio out just for fun. We are total beginners. Ferg was our instructor. He was wonderdul. He totally made us feel relaxed and comfortable. After, we told our adult children about our date night experience and they were so supportive! Can't wait for the next lesson!
My husband and I first came to a class using a gift certificate from a friend, and we’ve now been here a year and a half — what an incredible experience it’s been.
In the beginning, I felt awkward, self‑conscious, and totally out of my element, but the instructors were endlessly positive and encouraging. With that kind of support, it’s impossible not to look forward to coming back week after week.
I’ve grown so much individually, and my husband and I have grown together too — we dance, we laugh at our mistakes, and we keep getting better. The instructors are very experienced in knowing how to tailor lessons to accommodate each student's learning style. Perfect for my creative mind and my husband's engineer brain!
This studio is overflowing with encouragement, skill, smiles, and truly top‑notch instruction. It’s been such a gift to be part of it.
