First, Elena (Studio Manager) has done an amazing job assembling a team of world class dance instructors who pour everything they have into making each dance lesson an enjoyable experience. It starts with the instructors taking time getting to know each student individually and then adjusting their teaching methods to allow steady and continuous dance skill progression.

On top of that, the studio culture is very welcoming to new students and social interaction in general between students is encouraged and facilitated through twice a month 90 min dance parties and other social events including outside studio outings. If you’ve never danced before, but always wanted to, or if it’s been a while, I highly recommend checking out the Cypress studio! It’s 5 Stars and the best studio in Texas!! ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️

I have so many great things to say about this studio and the people who are a part of it that this Google review would take days to read. So I will do my best to keep it to 10 paragraphs 😝.

Tim and Hector are my instructors, and they have been nothing less than pro perfection! Tailoring my lessons to match the goals I want to achieve in dance while keeping it fun at the same time. They don’t just teach you steps; they take the time to educate you on the “why” and “how,” ensuring you have a strong foundation to help you be your very best at whatever goal you're reaching for.

Then there’s the rest of the Fred Astaire Cypress team: Elena, the studio manager; Ellie, Magui, Edina, and Barnabas, who are equally as amazing as their counterparts. All of them bring an unbelievable amount of skill and quality of dancing to every student. I guess that’s why they are the pros!

With that said, it can be so easy to lose that quality, momentum, or high energy with the amount of students they work with one-on-one, the group classes, the long hours to ensure every student receives the same level of time and training, plus their own training they do after hours. The dedication is unmatched. Every single one of them, including Hector and Tim, not once have I seen anyone lose that momentum and energy in the four months I’ve been coming. You will always walk in to smiling faces, and the instructors are ready, pumped, engaged, and excited to be teaching you.

I encourage anyone interested in ballroom to take lessons with this studio. You would be lucky to have any one of these people in your dance journey corner.

We absolutely LOVE this place! My husband and I started taking wedding dance lessons here in Sept 2024, and we had so much fun that we decided to make it a weekly activity. Tim and Magui are the best instructors, & they make every lesson super fun. My husband & I had very little dance experience prior to this, & we have had such a fun time challenging our minds & bodies. Everyone at Fred Astaire Cypress is so kind & encouraging, & we feel so blessed to be a part of this community!

Fred Astaire Dance Studios - Cypress, TX is simply the best. They are five stars -- all the way! First of all, from the minute you walk in, you feel like family. Everyone is so fun, warm, and welcoming. The level of instruction is superb! Many of the instructors are national champion ballroom dancers so you're learning from the best. Plus, it's the most fun you will ever have! To say Fred Astaire Dance Studios - Cypress, TX has changed my life would be an understatement. It has. Better health, an incredible social life, a creative outlet -- Fred Astaire provided all of that for me. You should definitely check them out.

Each instructor is professionally trained and skillful at training anyone to dance. In addition to being dance instructors they are also competitive dancers.
If you want to learn how to dance, I highly recommend the FADS - Cypress studio staff. I came to the studio with no dance (or any related activity) experience. I can no longer imagine my life without dance. While I’m sure that any Fred Astaire Dance Studio can teach anyone to dance, this studio is in a league of its own because of the stellar group of instructors and studio management.
If you have any interest in dance, give this studio a try. You won’t regret it!

I have to admit, the reason for joining at the beginning was to learn Country dances, as I was not familiar, and is common in socials with my church. Then, with their group classes and parties, I started to become more confident (introvert in the house). The most important thing, main reason I keep coming to the FADS, is that the teachers and staff treats you like a friend, in a still professional manner. Is even therapy for me. I highly recommend Fred Astaire Dance Studios - Cypress, TX!

Absolutely amazing studio! I signed up for my first lesson back in January thinking it would be something it did once or twice a month. Joke’s on me! I go every chance I get, sometimes 4-5 days a week. I love the variety of the group classes, and the opportunity they provide to learn with so many other students. Then, there’s the private lessons where we really dive deep. The entire staff is phenomenal! Most of my classes have been with Hector and Magui, and I’ve had a few recently with Tim and Eli. I adore them all! They are so supportive and encouraging, and also do not cut you any slack. They want you to succeed, whatever your goals are, whether it’s just to have fun, feel more confident going out with friends, putting together an epic first dance for your wedding, or breaking into the world of competition. They keep it professional, but oh so fun! On a scale of 1 to 10 for awesomeness, this team goes to 11.
