Jessika Flores – Professional Instructor

Place of Birth: Mexico City, Mexico

Favorite Food: Mexican and Chinese food!

Favorite Music: I love all kinds of music! Latin music has a special place in my heart because it connects me to my Mexican culture. I also love retro music, especially from the 1920s through the rock-and-roll and disco era. For me, music is a way to explore emotions, cultures, rhythms, and different styles.

Favorite Dances: Rumba, Bolero, Paso Doble, and Salsa. I love the passion, musicality, and expressive personalities of these dances. Each one tells a different story and allows me to express myself in a unique way.

Competition Style: I’m interested in exploring all competition styles, but my previous experience has been in International Latin.

What I Love Most About Teaching: I love that dance is a universal language. You don’t always need to speak the same language to connect with someone through movement. Teaching dance allows me to help people build confidence, express themselves, and discover new ways to connect with others. Seeing students grow and become more comfortable on the dance floor is one of the most rewarding parts of my job
