John has been with Fred Astaire Dutchess since 2008 and became co-owner of the studio in 2021. His dedication to teaching, student growth, and the studio community has made him a valued leader and mentor within the Fred Astaire family.
For John, teaching is about transformation. He is especially inspired by the moments when students experience true understanding — when the movement, technique, and feeling all come together naturally. Helping students reach those breakthroughs is what drives his passion as an instructor.
His favorite dance is the Viennese Waltz, which he loves for its speed, elegance, and the unmatched sense of connection it creates between dance partners.
