Part-Time Instructor
Meghan has not stopped dancing since her first ballet class at age three. Through high school, she studied various styles of dance including ballet, tap, jazz, modern, and musical theater. Meghan attended Bridgewater State University where she served on the executive board for the Refined Movement dance club. Upon graduating in 2016 with a double major in Special Education and Psychology, Meghan began teaching dance classes for children and teenagers with disabilities. She aimed to provide an inclusive space which allowed students of all abilities and dance backgrounds to feel empowered in their dance education.
Meghan attended a guest party at Fred Astaire Franklin in 2018 to take “one lesson” and never left. She fell in love with ballroom dance, but even more so with the incredible community of people that were the foundation of the studio. As an amateur dancer, Meghan competed in both pro-am and am-am partnerships. She competed in American Rhythm and American Smooth in both closed and open divisions. In 2023, Meghan placed first in the Holiday Dance Classic Nightclub Championship and was awarded Top Showcase at the Fred Astaire World Championships in Las Vegas.
Meghan enjoys teaching students with diverse experiences and balances technical instruction with a fun and light-hearted approach. She prioritizes each student’s individual needs to support them in reaching their dance goals. She feels so lucky to be teaching in such a supportive and welcoming studio. Outside of dance, she loves travelling with her husband and diving into a good book!
