Jacob Montoya was born in El Salvador. He began his dance journey at 15 years old when he joined a competitive Latin dance team. He first learned Merengue, Salsa, Bachata, and Hip hop. At Fred Astaire, he found his love and passion for ballroom dancing, where he is eager to continue learning, growing, and teaching as a certified dance instructor. Jacob aims to share his knowledge with others while creating a fun, welcoming, and comfortable environment so they look and feel the best they can on the dance floor.
In his free time, Jacob likes to hike with his dog, spend time with family and friends, play video games, discover new music, and most of all dance!
