Dumitru has been teaching for Fred Astaire since 2011, but has come from a background of teaching and competing Ballroom Dancing in Europe for many years before he moved to the United States. He started his experience with the Fred Astaire Family in Wisconsin where he achieved some great results as a Pro-Am teacher and Professional Dancer.
A few years ago he and his wife, Cristina moved to the Illinois Region and started their journey with Fred Astaire Mokena, where he kept growing professionally, being one of the top teachers for the last years. At the same time Dumitru and Cristina being professional dance partners are former Fred Astaire National and World Champions in International Ballroom and finalists and many US Competitions.
Dumitru was dreaming to move to US since he was little, now he is so happy to live the “American Dream” together with his lovely family.
