Ekaterina was born and raised in Nizhniy Novgorod, Russia. She began her dance journey at the age of 7 and has been competing as a dancer ever since.
In 2017, while earning her Masters degree in language from the Lobachevsky National Research Nizhny Novgorod State University, Ekaterina won the World Artistic Dance Championship in Ballroom and Smooth styles. In 2018 she won the WADF World Championship a second time as well as the WADF European Championship. As a result of her outstanding dance achievements Ekaterina was invited to work as a professional instructor at the Fred Astaire Dance Studios in the United States and accepted the opportunity in 2019.
Competing at the professional level with her partner Sergei in the American Style 9 dance program, they reached the finals three times at the United States Dance Championships, the most prestigious ballroom dance competition in the United States and were World champions in Rising Star Smooth and Vice Champions in Rising Star Rhythm at the Fred Astaire World Championships held in Las Vegas.
Along with her dance career, Ekaterina has always been very passionate about teaching. As a professional dance instructor, she is striving for excellence at every level and finds inspiration in helping students take on and overcome new challenges.
In 2023 Ekaterina and Sergei became co-owners of the Fred Astaire studio in Lancaster Pennsylvania and together they are looking forward to enriching people’s lives with the magic of dance.
