As wedding season is approaching here in Memphis, we can’t help but look back at the Tingley’s first dance choreographed by Ms. Sandra Korpitz at Fred Astaire Dance Studio and get the warm and fuzzies. When the Tingley’s came to the studio, they requested a completely choreographed routine to the “Dirty Dancing” movie song, I’ve Had the Time of My Life. Ms. Korpitz worked with them to create not only the steps, but the look and feel they were going for with this one. It seriously gives us chills every time we watch it and they did an absolutely fabulous job!
Sometimes our wedding couples come in to learn a completely choreographed dance like the Tingley’s and other times they come in simply to learn some basic moves. Our staff is the best in the city at working with wedding couples to make it a fun and easy process. We have had many of our wedding couples return after their wedding because they loved the experience so much.
Because our couples are normally right in the middle of planning their weddings, their experience with their dance lessons give them a moment to just relax and simply be with one another. We promote our studio as the “happiest and friendliest spot in town” and we live up to that! Taking a break from everyday stress to enjoy a fun environment together is part of the reason why we teach more than one-hundred wedding couples per year and we love what we do!
