What you’ll need to know for your first class at Fred Astaire – Pinecrest:
1.) We’re excited to meet you. And yes, we mean it. Our instructors are friendly, encouraging, and most of all, FUN!
2.) Did you already google “What to wear to ballroom dance class”?
Try for something you can move comfortably in – dressy casual is fine – work clothes are fine – just nothing too restrictive! A low heel with a strap, a ballet flat, a dress shoe with a leather bottom, are all the perfect shoes to wear for your first ballroom dance lesson at Fred Astaire Pinecrest.
3.) you’re probably wondering what’s going to happen on your first class. The short answer is, one of our certified instructors will work with you and get you dancing your first basic steps in 2-4 different ballroom styles. The goal is to introduce you to a few different styles, and for us to see how you learn, as well as to introduce you to how we teach!
4.) But then what happens?
Well, if you enjoy your lesson, we’ll make recommendations for you based on your goals, your life, and how you learn. There’s no pressure!
