It's Our 3rd Anniversary this Friday, August 16... And We'd Love To Celebrate With You!
It’s been a journey for us here at Fred Astaire Pinecrest, and for me personally, so just this once, I’m going to write on behalf of myself instead of the business. From opening our doors to teach our very first lesson on August 16, 2021, to today –
I think I can speak for all of us when I say that I am so, so grateful for this wonderful experience. As you know, we’ve all had some ups and downs and major life events in the last couple years. That’s not a surprise. But what has really shocked me has been the incredible outpouring of love and support I have received from our clients and community throughout all of it.
I can’t thank you enough for being a part of our family, if you already are.

- Create a 501(c)3 non-profit, Whitney Dance Foundation
- Create jobs in our community
- Build a safe place for persons who are medically fragile, marginalized, or minorities
- Dancing With The Stars Miami
- An Annual Food Drive
- An Annual Backpack Drive
- An Annual Breast Cancer Fundraiser (See the What If Video!)
- Build an INCREDIBLE team of talented, passionate Dance Professionals
- Support other local small businesses via purchases, advertising, events, donations to local charities, etc.
- Create literally hundreds of personalized first dances and performances
- Put together (objectively) incredible shows with my students and staff
- Build a dance community here in South Miami
- Take lots of students to their first performances, their first competitions, and see them succeed.
- Begin an on-site program, Project Footloose, for large communities where we travel to them to bring group classes and lessons
- Watch my incredible staff be recognized with multiple regional and national awards for their hard work, development, and growth
- Love coming to work every day
- Survive a debilitating illness
And so much more…
The crazy thing is, about 20% of small businesses fail in the first two years. An additional 50% of small businesses fail in the first five years.
We’re past that first hurdle, but your support is what will keep us here and dancing!

We’ll be celebrating with a black – tie optional champagne party… including refreshments, hors d’oeuvres, special performances, a DJ, and more – and hopefully you’ll join us!
This is the perfect chance to check out the studio if you’ve never made it in! You’ll get to meet n’ greet the staff and students here at the studio, and this event is designed for people who don’t know how to dance, so it’s low pressure!
Are you a current student who loves your dance lessons here? Great! This is the perfect opportunity to invite your friends, family, neighbors, co-workers, (or the nice lady you met in line at Trader Joe’s) to see what you do. Bonus: it’s the best compliment you can give us, to refer people you know. It means you trust us with them! AND… if you invite people you love, to the place you love… there’s more reasons for it to be your happy place!
