Daniel Koval – Dance Instructor

Daniel Koval began ballroom dancing at age 10 in Ukraine, where he trained with Victoria Ballroom Dance Club. His career has taken him from dance competitions to performing aboard cruise ships and in stage productions in Taiwan. He has also taught ballroom classes to cruise passengers, sharing the dancing he loves with people trying it for themselves.

At Fred Astaire Dance Studios Richmond, Daniel brings that experience to ballroom dance lessons, student showcases, and competition preparation. His Fred Astaire recognition includes a regional Bronze Level Top Male Teacher award for 2023.

Daniel enjoys encouraging students to keep learning and discover what they’re capable of. For a beginner, that means having someone in your corner as you build skills and work toward your own goals. You can start with social dancing and see where your interest takes you.
