Dmitriy Gnatush – Dance Instructor
Dmitriy Gnatush, known around the studio as Dima, teaches ballroom and wedding dance lessons at Fred Astaire Dance Studios Richmond. His background includes studies at Ukraine’s Kharkiv State Academy of Culture, and his own introduction to dancing came through encouragement from his mother.
Dima enjoys helping people take that first step, especially when they’re nervous or wondering whether they’ve waited too long to learn. His approach starts with the belief that people can begin dancing at any age.
His wedding dance instruction was featured in Richmond magazine’s 2023 A-List coverage. Working with styles such as waltz, rumba, and foxtrot, he helps couples create a dance that fits their music and the feeling they want to share. Whether you’re preparing for your wedding or learning for yourself, Dima wants you to feel comfortable enough to try and proud of the progress you make.
