Aira Bubnelyte-Studio Owner National & World-Class Dance Judge | Coach of World and National Champions

Aira began dancing at the age of six in her home country of Lithuania. Her dedication and talent quickly led to an extraordinary competitive career. In 1997, she became the Under 18 World Ballroom Champion. The following year, she captured two prestigious titles: the Blackpool Under 21 Ballroom Championship and the Amateur World Cup Ballroom Championship.

In 2001, Aira turned professional and went on to become the Blackpool Professional Rising Star Ballroom Vice Champion. After moving to the United States in 2003, she established herself as one of the nation’s top professional competitors, becoming a U.S. Professional Ballroom Finalist and a finalist and medalist at  major U.S. ballroom competitions.

After retiring from competition in 2005, Aira dedicated herself to growing the ballroom dance community. She founded an NDCA-sanctioned ballroom dance competition and opened a ballroom dance studio in the San Mateo area of the San Francisco Bay Area.

Today, Aira is a National and World Class adjudicator and an accomplished coach, training National and World Champions and finalists in both youth and adult divisions. She is passionate about sharing the beauty and joy of ballroom dance while bringing world-class coaching and decades of international experience to every student in San Francisco Bay Area.
