She has a real talent for breaking everything down in a way that feels natural and manageable, while still keeping the lessons fun and enjoyable. I’ve been going to Fred Astaire of Sarasota since July 2026, and in just these first couple of months, dancing has become something I genuinely look forward to every day.
A huge part of that is Zoë, my dance partner and teacher. From the very beginning, she has been incredible. She is an amazing professional dancer, a wonderful teacher, and, most importantly, someone who genuinely cares about her students. She brings such a positive energy to every lesson and somehow manages to make everything fun while still pushing you outside of your comfort zone—which, honestly, is where the real growth happens.
Zoë has already taught me so much, and I’m excited to see where she can take me as I continue moving up through the levels. I couldn’t have asked for a better person to share this journey with.
One thing I really appreciate about Fred Astaire is that if your instructor is unavailable, you can simply book another instructor so you never have to miss a lesson. And sometimes, learning from a different instructor gives you an entirely new perspective and help connect the dots.
I’ve also become a regular at the group classes Monday through Friday at 7 PM, and the Friday night parties at 8 PM are something I definitely recommend experiencing. What started as dance lessons has turned into something much bigger. Tim, Tiana, Zoë, Miranda, Roman, Juan, David, Lisa and the entire team have created an environment where everyone helps one another, encourages you, pushes you when you need it, and takes the time to make sure you actually understand and master what you’re learning.
There’s a real sense of family here.
