Juan is originally from Southern California. He started dancing folk dances of Mexico at age 12. In 1999 he started his training as a ballroom dance instructor in California. Since then, he has studied many different social styles of dancing as well as ballet, jazz, modern and tap dancing. He is proficient in the American and International styles of ballroom as well as many other specialty ballroom dances, such as Lindy Hop, Balboa, Charleston, Collegiate Shag, Carolina Shag, Argentine Tango, Country, Hustle, West Coast Swing, Salsa and Bachata. Juan has been a Florida resident since 2012. He loves teaching dance and enjoys making people smile and laugh.
