Mia Matthews began dancing at age 3 and continuously trained in several different styles throughout her youth. Although ballet was always her main focus, she also has several years of experience in jazz, hip-hop, contemporary, lyrical, and modern. Inspired by her love of dance, Mia earned her bachelor’s degree in Dance Management in May 2022. She is currently the Front Desk Executive for Fred Astaire Youngstown and occasionally teaches dance lessons for the studio and other studios in the surrounding area. In addition, Mia is the owner of Mosaic Dance Academy, located in the lower level of the building, where she continues to share her passion for dance with students of all ages. Mia is a trained and experienced dancer who values dance as a form of expression and a way to communicate without words. She recommends everyone give dance a try, regardless of age or experience!
