Barnabas Vadon – Professional Dancer, Dancesport Trainer/Competitor

Where are you from? I’m from Eastern Europe; Hungary.  I recently moved to the States after accepting the offer from Fred Astaire Dance Studios.

When did you start dancing and why? I was training to become a musician in elementary school, and the folk-dance was a part of the education, which I really enjoyed. Later, in high school, I was doing some stage choreographies, and I started to become very interested in social dancing. By the time I entered University, I had already completed -that was fifteen years ago!

Favorite dances: Samba and Foxtrot

What are you most passionate about? Food, dancing, teaching, extreme sports.

What is the biggest misconception about ballroom dancing? Many people think dance is for ladies only. I suggest them to ask the ladies about that 😉
