Lucero Vasquez started dancing in her mom’s dance studio at age two. There, she learned many styles of dance, including folklorico, ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, pointe, and more. While exploring other styles, she discovered her love for ballroom dancing in her high school years. She graduated from Sam Houston State University with a BFA in Dance Performance in 2021. Lucero attended auditions that led to receiving invitations to dance intensives.
She is a regional closed Rhythm champion, a national closed Rhythm finalist, and was invited to perform at the prestigious 2024 Houston Symphony Ball. Her students often receive podium placements at competitions and events. Lucero loves to share her knowledge of dance with her students, and is honored to be a part of their dance journey. She is excited to see where the future will take her at Fred Astaire Dance Studios.
