BIO
Alex started with Fred Astaire Dance Studios® in 2009 when he first came to the United States from Greece. He started dancing at the age of 13 years old and now has over 20 years of dance & teaching experience with any level of student and Pro-Am couples, as it is shown from his international accomplishments in Europe with his own students. When Alex moved to the United States, the Fred Astaire Dance Studios® Syllabus became his passion – training for professional examinations, and the benefits that this academic education can bring to each Professional in his/her career. Alex also has had Para Dance Sport training by the Para-Olympic Committee. Currently, he owns his own Fred Astaire Dance Studios® in Lake Houston & Houston Heights, TX and has successfully progressed through the years with his personal goals through perseverance and self-determination.
ACHIEVEMENTS
- Qualified in the Gold Level with Fred Astaire Dance Studios® in American Smooth, American Rhythm, Theater Arts/Exhibition, Dance Director and as an Adjudicator/Invigilator
- Certified with the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing – International (ISTD) in the American and International Styles, as well as being registered as a Professional Trainer
- Adjudicating credentials are registered with the National Dance Council of America (NDCA) and Word Dance Council (WDC)

Alex Armaos is part of the prestigious Fred Astaire Dance Studios International Dance Council, which oversees Dance Instructor training and certification, judges (Professional, Amateur, Pro/Am) at Regional, National & International Fred Astaire Dance Studio Dance Competition events, actively coaches our Students & Instructors in dance studio locations across our network, and continuously reviews our proprietary dance curriculum to ensure only the finest, most up-to-date programs for our Students.
