Ilya has been with Fred Astaire dance studios for over 20 years! He started at Fred Astaire Wisconsin, where he developed the skills of many great amateur dancers who became national and regional finalists and champions. Ilya has been the top teacher in Wisconsin for many years as well as a national top teacher. He also was a dance director and Manager of one of the top studios in the country. He became a regional dance director of Wisconsin and had the privilege to work with many amazing students and professionals.
Along with his partner Mariya Ilchenko, Ilya is a 15 times Fred Astaire Champion, Fred Astaire Showdance champion, 4 times Ohio Star Ball finalist, and 2 times United States Open Rhythm finalist. He loves developing professionals and amateurs and help them grow. There is nothing better than watching people grow physically, mentally, and emotionally!
