Mladan Curcic – Studio Manager & Choreographer

Born in Kruševac, Serbia, Mladan Curcic began his journey in ballroom dancing at just three years old. What started as an early passion became a lifelong dedication to dance, leading him to train in more than 30 different dances.

Mladan entered his first ballroom competition at the age of six and, in 1993, was recognized as one of the youngest competitive ballroom dancers in Serbia. Since then, he has participated in more then 200 ballroom dance competitions throughout Serbia and Europe, earning numerous first-place finishes in both Ballroom and Latin divisions.

Throughout his professional career, Mladan has also had the opportunity to perform at a variety of major events and productions. Some of the highlights include the EXIT Music Festival, the 1st of May Festival, musical television programs on Serbia’s national television, and an appearance in the music video “You and Me” connected with the Bollywood film Khaidi No. 150.

Beyond performing and competing, Mladan has always had a strong passion for understanding movement and sharing his knowledge with others. He earned his Bachelor’s Degree with Honors in Physical Education and Sport from the University “TIMS” in Novi Sad, Serbia. His thesis focused on “Coordinating Abilities of Ballroom and Latin Dancers,” combining his academic education with his lifelong experience in dance.

Over the years, Mladan has taught students of all ages at dance clubs throughout Serbia and has choreographed numerous Line Dances to popular international music, as well as Salsa and Bachata routines. He continues to expand his knowledge as both a dancer and instructor, always looking for new ways to make learning enjoyable, inspiring, and rewarding for his students.

With more than 30 years of professional dance experience, Mladan is proud to bring his knowledge, passion, and international experience to Fred Astaire Dance Studios – Mystic. He looks forward to share his love of Ballroom and International Latin dancing with his students and helping each of them discover the confidence, joy, and personal growth that dance can bring.
