Originally from St. Petersburg, Russia, Vadim began his dance journey at a young age, training under world-renowned professionals. He later earned his degree in Ballet Choreography and Ballroom Instruction from St. Petersburg University, laying the foundation for a lifelong career in dance.
Before joining Fred Astaire Dance Studios in 2001, Vadim competed internationally in both International Standard and Latin dance styles, showcasing his talents on some of the world’s most prestigious stages.
In 2007, Vadim brought his passion for dance to Mystic, Connecticut, where he proudly opened the Fred Astaire Dance Studio. As studio owner, he is dedicated to working with dancers of all levels—from absolute beginners to seasoned competitors. He has a special place in his heart for wedding couples and loves helping them create a first dance that’s truly unforgettable.
Vadim’s teaching style is dynamic, encouraging, and full of energy. His commitment to his students has earned him multiple “Top Teacher of the Year” awards and helped countless dancers reach their goals.
Outside the studio, Vadim is a proud family man. He and his wife are raising two wonderful children, ages 12 and 9. Their home is full of love—and a bit of playful chaos—thanks to their King Charles Cavalier dog and two charismatic cats: a Maine Coon and a Bengal. Whether he’s dancing in the studio or spending time with his family, Vadim brings passion, joy, and a sense of fun to everything he does.
