Alfredo Aravena

Alfredo Nicolás Aravena Santis is a highly accomplished dance professional with extensive experience in competitive performance, choreography, and dance education. With over 11 years of teaching experience, Alfredo offers a structured, intentional, and technically grounded approach to instruction, emphasizing posture, alignment, core control, musicality, and refined movement aesthetics.

He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Dance and Choreography from the University of the Arts, Sciences and Communication (UNIACC) and has completed advanced professional training in movement analysis, dance pedagogy, and aesthetics. His academic background, combined with international competitive experience, allows him to work effectively with students ranging from complete beginners to advanced and professional dancers.

Alfredo specializes in Ballroom and Latin dance, with additional expertise in Jazz, Tap, Stretching, and Rhythmic Gymnastics technique. His teaching style is precise and detail-oriented, while remaining inspiring and highly individualized, designed to bring out each student’s unique potential and long-term development.

In addition to his studio work, Alfredo has served as a university-level assistant professor, school dance educator, choreographer, and competitive coach, successfully preparing dancers for showcases, examinations, and international competitions. His background as a competitive ballroom dancer includes multiple podium placements at prestigious events across South America and the United States, which have shaped the high professional standards reflected in his teaching.

Beyond performance and instruction, Alfredo is the Founder and Creative Director of ASA Ballroom Couture, a luxury brand specializing in custom ballroom and Latin dance costumes, and ASA Sport, a performance-focused dancewear and training apparel brand. These ventures highlight his deep understanding of movement, design, and the visual demands of professional dance.

Alfredo is passionate about working with dancers who value technique, elegance, and artistic growth. His mission is to cultivate technically strong, confident dancers with refined presence—both on the social dance floor and in competitive and performance settings.
