Michelle M. Davy
Michelle Davy, executive director, studio manager and dance instructor of Fred Astaire Dance Studio West Springfield, was born in CT where her classical ballet training started at the age of four. Throughout the 21 years she has been dancing she studied a variety of dance styles including ballet, jazz, tap, lyrical, pointe, African, modern, belly dance, along with Ballroom and Latin dancing.
Michelle graduated with a Bachelor’s in Theatre & Dance Education, Bachelor’s in English, and a Writing Minor from Keene State College in 2013. Post-graduation she studied in Livorno, Italy in La Bella Vita Summer Dance Intensive for 4 weeks with renowned dance choreographers, and performed with the group in an Italian dance performance.
She started her career with Fred Astaire Dance Studios soon after, and with her positive energy, and team of experienced dance professionals, she looks to help those looking to learn how to dance find a happy home at her studio.
Robin began his dancing at the age of 15 competing for the Czech Republic. He has earned several Czech titles in International Standard. He is certified in International Latin and Standard as well as American Rhythm and Smooth. In addition to his dance accomplishments Robin is the former owner of the dance studio. His love of dance and passion to share his knowledge with his students makes him a joy to learn from. He also has been top teacher for several years in the New England Region and top studio owner in 2009.
Jessica Beliles graduated from Smith College in 2016 with degrees in Dance and Women and Gender studies. Since then, she has been performing and choreographing professionally. Now, she teaches both Smooth and Rhythm styles of dancing through the Fred Astaire Conceptual Method of Teaching. Originally from the woods of Vermont, she likes to spend her extra time gardening and hiking. She loves teaching and is always excited to share the gifts that dance has given her to others.
Brendan “Wren” Kellner attended Pioneer Valley Performing Arts for high school with focuses on theater, visual arts and dancing, and attended STCC. He is certified in the Fred Astaire Method of Teaching in Ballroom and Rhythm styles. Outside the ballroom, he enjoys nerdy activities and being a social butterfly.
