Ilya & Nadia – Owners

Ilya and Nadia are one of the top professional Latin couples in the dance world today. They have been dancing together for nine years and have toured the world in competition, enjoying considerable success. Some of their most recent achievements have included

  • 6 time Fred Astaire National Professional Latin Champions

Millie – Owner

Millie is truly the heart of Fred Astaire Princeton. Her love, care, and energy make the studio feel like home. Millie’s presence, charming personality and incredible sense of style can be felt throughout the entire studio.

Millie, a former Radio City Rockette, is a National Fred Astaire Champion, has entered regional and national competitions, prior to opening Princeton Studio. She not only loves Ballroom Dance, but is dedicated to sharing it with others. “I have always been passionate about dance, and now we want people to know we are here to educate them in dance in a welcoming atmosphere”.

Sasha – Studio Director

Sasha brings his positivity, high energy, and more than 15 years of ballroom dance experience to our strong Fred Astaire Team. Moreover, his degree in Public Relations from Chelyabinsk State University makes him an even more versatile person. Sasha has a passion for learning and loves to help others to succeed whether they are his students or his team members. It is important to Sasha that every student has a fabulous experience from the moment they walk in the door; whether they are learning their first basic steps, or preparing for the next national competition!

Tara – Studio Manager, Dance Director

Tara was born to be a dancer. She inherited her love of dance from her mother who has an extensive background. Tara began taking ballet at the age of 5 and now has 16 years of experience. Dance is something Tara cannot live without and she is excited to bring her passion and dedication to the Princeton studio. We are fortunate to have her as a part of our Fred Astaire Team so she can share her knowledge and inspire our students.

Juan – Instructor

Juan was born in Mexico and grew up right here in Princeton. At an early age, Juan immersed himself in the arts and has continued to train in music and a variety of dance styles. He has a strong background in Latin social dancing, and also excels in Ballroom, Hip Hop, Modern, and Latin Jazz. Juan joined the Fred Astaire family in January of 2013 and brings his passion for teaching to our team. He is eager to help his students excel in all styles of dance and to look and feel natural on the dance floor!

Samantha – Instructor

Born to be in the Spotlight, Samantha fell in love with performing at a very early age.  She began taking dance and gymnastics at the age of 5, sparking her very competitive nature.  Samantha has been part of champion dance and cheerleading teams, as well as won an award as a choreographer.  Ever the performer, Samantha has also been heavily involved in community and professional theatre, in her home state of Delaware, both on stage and behind the scenes, choreographing in such shows as Hairspray, The Lion King, The Little Mermaid, A Chorus Line and many more. Originally trained in classical ballet, contemporary, jazz and tap, Samantha made the switch into Latin and Ballroom in 2012.  She has since shined both professionally and as an instructor.

Ilya – Instructor

Ilya started ballroom dancing in 1992 in Russia. He has continued his dance career up to this day dancing and coaching in a formation team named “Impulse”. He has participated and competed in all different types of events and competitions, local, regional, national and international. Ilya studied in the Academy of Arts and Culture of Chelyabinsk, Russia and his major was choreography. Ilya is very excited to bring his knowledge and experience to the United States, right here at Fred Astaire Princeton!
