Well, first of all, this dance thing escalated quickly! It started with a salsa lesson, and now I am nationally competing, and I’ve poured my whole life and soul into this and I don’t regret it one bit. Boy, do they create the most fun, uplifting, and supportive environment. I seriously don’t think there’s one lesson I can name where I wasn’t laughing and smiling. But whatever you do, DO NOT do a heel lead in cha-cha, Ollie will find a very special and nice yet hilarious way to say “absolutely not never again that was horrendous… but work” in his pretty British accent 🙂
All jokes aside, they really have become my family without me, even asking for it. They love what they do and they do what they love. And it’s contagious in the best way. You’d be stupid not to come here. Xoxo 😉

Went in expecting to learn a foxtrot, left questioning several life choices, in the best way possible. Ollie is an absolute menace on the dance floor and I mean that as the highest compliment. The man will roast your footwork one second and have you nailing a turn you swore was physically impossible the next.
He's cheeky, borderline insufferable, and somehow still the best teacher I've had... patient when it counts, ruthless when you're being lazy, and he'll take the mick out of you in a way that somehow makes you want to try harder rather than storm out. There's a fine line between "encouraging" and "having a laugh at your expense," and Ollie dances right along it (pun intended).
Can't recommend him enough. Just don't expect him to go easy on you, and don't expect a straight face while he critiques your movements.

I love going to this dance studio. Ollie and Peyton are excellent instructors. They are so upbeat and so much fun; I have learned so much from them. In addition, the packages permit free group lessons. There are wonderful instructors at those classes as well. All instructors are so kind and patient. It is clear that everyone at this studio wants their students to enjoy and love dance while becoming a skillful dancer. Furthermore, there are fun events where professionals and learners have an opportunity to perform while cheering each other on! I highly recommend this studio as it is such a lovely place for dancers of all levels and abilities to thrive!
Five stars for Payton and Fred Astaire Dance Studio! I’ve always felt intimidated by dancing and could never learn even the basic steps, so I was feeling a lot of anxeity about the “first dance” with my daughter at her upcoming wedding.
Payton took the time to ask thoughtful questions about my daughter’s vision for the dance and then taught me in a way that finally made sense. She made the whole process feel easy and comfortable from the very beginning. She was patient, encouraging, and incredibly skilled at breaking things down in a way I could finally understand. What started as something I was dreading became something I genuinely enjoyed.
