My husband and I started dancing at Fred Astaire River Oaks nearly two years ago. We planned for it to be our weekly date night. We had no idea we would get hooked!!! Now we are up there every free moment we have. They have monthly parties that my whole family loves and looks forward to. Best part is…they are free!! All the students and staff get to know each other so well they have become my “Dance Family” When we arrive at our lesson after a long stressful day we always leave feeling relaxed and happy. After my husband, who was an excellent dancer, died I realized I needed to dance so I joined Fred Astaire River Oaks Dance Studio and it was the best thing I have ever done. I immediate enjoyed my instructor, Leon. He. Was informative and fun. Also, have enjoyed all the many delightful people I have met as well as the other instructors. The lessons fulfilled the sad hole in my life and I will always be grateful. Plus the dancing has been fabulous and physically and emotionally very uplifting.

Good layout for a dance studio with small class sizes (amount of people) per class and would recommend for anyone who’s wanting to learn any style of dance for a special occasion or as a hobby.

My son and I learned a “mother son dance” for his wedding. It was so special. I bought the ten lesson package and it was expensive but worth it for us. Not only at the reception but all ten lesson sessions he and I spent dancing and laughing and making memories. Thanks!
