Every dancer has a special area of expertise and for Jewel Garcia that specialty is salsa dancing. Jewel got her start as a dancer in a Memphis, Tennessee salsa club called the Rumba Room. Jewel was born in Memphis, though she moved to Klamath Falls, Oregon before finally settling down in Duluth, Georgia.
Jewel loves the social aspect of dancing and its ability to help bring people together. Additionally, she loves having the ability as an instructor to spread the joy of dancing to her students and watch them learn and become more confident through their lessons.
Jewel’s passions spread far beyond the world of dancing. She is an avid sports fan, basketball especially. Jewel also loves nature and spending time outdoors whenever she gets the chance.
