BIO

Carrie Babcock graduated from SUNY Brockport with a BS in Dance. She is a US National American Smooth Finalist, a six-year undefeated Fred Astaire National Smooth Champion, a 5-Time United Professional Champion, including three Open Theatrical Titles, Rising Star National Theatrical Champion and Rising Star Smooth Champion. Carrie has choreographed and had major roles in more than 25 musical theater productions, is a member of SAG-AFTRA and has danced at Walt Disney World’s EPCOT and Disney-MGM. TV appearances as a dancer include As The World Turns, The TV Academy of Arts and Sciences Hall of Fame Awards, and America’s Ballroom Challenge. She specializes in American Smooth, Theatrical/Cabaret and Show Dance technique, performance skills and choreography. She uses her knowledge from 18 years of training staff and students, as well has her college education with Laban Movement theories and choreographic design, tap, jazz, ballet and modern to create well-rounded dancers.

Carrie Babcock is part of the prestigious Fred Astaire Dance Studios National Dance Board team that actively coaches our Students & Instructors in dance studio locations across our network, oversees Dance Instructor training and certification, judges (Professional, Amateur, Pro/Am) at Regional and National Fred Astaire Dance Studio Dance Competition events, and continuously reviews our proprietary dance curriculum to ensure only the finest, most up-to-date programs for our Students.
