Nick Basenko’s journey in dance began at the young age of 4, sparking a lifelong passion for movement and performance. He honed his skills at the High School of Arts, graduating in 2012 with a focus in dance, and continued his formal training at Dragomanov University and the prestigious Virsky Studio of Folklore Dance, completing his studies in 2014.
Following his education, Nick joined the world-renowned Caracalla Dance Theatre, where he performed for four years across international stages. He later took his talents to the seas, dancing aboard a cruise ship for a year, before returning to Ukraine to share his expertise by teaching dance to children.
In pursuit of new challenges, Nick spent a year performing with a professional dance theatre in Saudi Arabia. His diverse background in folklore, classical, contemporary, and theatrical dance ultimately led him to the United States, where he now brings his passion and experience to Fred Astaire Dance Studios as a ballroom dance instructor.
Nick’s rich cultural background, international stage experience, and dedication to teaching make him a dynamic and inspiring presence in the studio.
