Here are some of our top picks for pranking your dance instructor on April Fool’s Day:

The “costume change” prank – This one requires a bit of preparation, but it’s well worth it. Show up to class in your usual dance attire, and then at some point during class, discreetly slip out and change into something completely different, like a clown suit or a superhero costume. Your instructor will be in for a surprise when you come back into the room!
The “disappearing act” prank – This one is a classic. Tell your instructor you’re going to the bathroom and never come back. This prank is best done in a group class, when your instructor will be too busy to notice your absence.
The “fake fall” prank – This one requires a bit of acting skill. Pretend to trip and fall during class, and watch as your instructor rushes to your aid. Be sure to keep a straight face, and don’t let on that it’s a prank until the end of class.
The “fake proposal” prank – This one is a classic. Tell your instructor that you’re going to propose to your partner during class, and then proceed to get down on one knee and present them with a ring-pop or a toy ring.
