Eugene and Kimberly are the proud owners of Fred Astaire Dance Studios of South Barrington, where they are passionate about helping students build confidence, strengthen relationships, and experience the joy of dance. Together, they have dedicated their careers to creating a welcoming community where dancers of all ages and experience levels can thrive.
Eugene’s love for ballroom dance began at the age of five and has taken him around the world as a performer, choreographer, coach, and competitor. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Education and worked internationally in South Korea, Egypt, Turkey, and China before joining Fred Astaire Dance Studios in 2017. Throughout his career, he has earned numerous titles at International, European, Fred Astaire, and independent competitions, along with multiple Top Teacher awards.
Kimberly began dancing at age 12 and earned her Bachelor’s degree in Dance and Business from the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee. She joined Fred Astaire Dance Studios in 2010 and has served as Co-Owner of the Smithtown, New York studio and Manager of the Northbrook, Illinois studio before opening South Barrington with Eugene. She is a Fred Astaire Open American Smooth Finalist and has received multiple Top Teacher and Manager Awards throughout her career.
Together, Eugene and Kimberly combine decades of teaching, leadership, and competitive experience. Whether working with first-time dancers, wedding couples, social dancers, or competitive students, they are committed to helping every student achieve their goals while discovering the confidence, connection, and lifelong friendships that dance can inspire.
