Angel Estrada – Instructor

Born and raised in Brownsville, Texas, Angel discovered his love for ballroom dancing at a young age. Over the past seven years, what started as a new hobby quickly became an important part of his life. Through Fred Astaire Dance Studios, he developed his skills in American Rhythm, American Smooth, International Latin, and International Standard. His dedication led him to compete at the U.S. National Amateur DanceSport Championships, where he reached the American Rhythm finals for two consecutive years and earned second place in two of four events.

Throughout his dance journey, Angel found that his passion extended beyond competing and performing. He began volunteering as a dance instructor, where he discovered how rewarding it was to share his knowledge and watch others grow. Seeing students gain confidence, overcome challenges, and enjoy themselves on the dance floor inspired him to pursue teaching professionally. Today, he continues that journey as an instructor at Fred Astaire Dance Studios Stone Oak, bringing patience, enthusiasm, and a genuine love for dance into every lesson.

Alongside his career, Angel is pursuing a degree in Management at the University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA). He hopes to use his education and experience to support the continued growth of Fred Astaire Dance Studios, with the goal of bringing ballroom dancing to underserved communities and making its benefits accessible to more people.

Outside of the studio, Angel enjoys working out, cooking, staying active, and spending quality time with family and friends. He believes that ballroom dancing offers something special for everyone, whether it’s learning a new skill, preparing for a memorable occasion, or simply finding a place to connect with others. As an instructor, Angel hopes every student leaves their lesson feeling welcomed, accomplished, and excited to return to the dance floor.
