Philip Gutierrez

Studio Director

Born in Houston, Texas, Philip found a love for sports at an early age. Growing up he enjoyed: Baseball, Basketball, Football, and Golf. He always enjoyed being a part of a team, working to achieve a goal, and advocate his peers.

As a young man with obvious leadership qualities, he decided to study Computer Science at The University of Houston. Reading a Newspaper in 1999, he stumbled across a Fred Astaire Dance Studio advertisement for a training opportunity at the Memorial Studio, in Houston.

He decided to attend the training class, and was captivated at the challenge of Latin & Ballroom dancing. Realizing all of the growth opportunities with Fred Astaire he became a full-time Instructor. With hard work, dedication, and pure enjoyment for enriching the lives of not only students, but his team, he became Manager, and (shortly after) Owner of his very first Fred Astaire Dance Studio. Throughout his journey he has been awarded many Top Teacher awards, and the prestigious Freddy Award as both an Instructor and Owner.

Now, owning 3 studios in Houston and 2 in San Antonio, he continues to grow his reach to mentor Instructors to achieve things they never thought possible. With a passion for witnessing the growth as not only dancers, but as people, he strives to create and guide as many individuals towards their future as possible.

Steffany Soucie-Sears

Studio Director, Owner

Training Director

Administrative Director

Born in Houston, TX, and a Cy-Falls Eagle Alum, Steffany always had big dreams. Growing up in the performing arts, she did; Choir, Theater Arts, Muscial Theater, Chamber Choir, Jazz, Tap, Hip hop, Contemporary, and some Ballroom dancing. She stayed active through out her school years excelling in leadership positions like: Cheer Captain, Multiple Honor Societies, Student Council, Basketball Captain, Volleyball Captain, and Section Leader for a few examples. She has always enjoyed being part of a team, and being a spark to the team and her team mate’s victories and accomplishments. Growing up she would introduce herself as the future first US Female President. She thought she would pursue a law degree, and move towards the title she always wanted, but her journey took her in a different direction.

Her older sister, Tiffany, had moved through the Professional Fred Astaire system, and had contacted Steffany about a receptionist position available at the Memorial Studio in Houston. Steffany accepted the position thinking it was the perfect fill in job while she finished her College Career. Within the first 3 months she knew that she was never leaving the industry.

Proving that she had leadership qualities, she moved up quickly being a mentor and catalyst to the Team’s success as one of the top studios internationally; as well as being awarded the prestigious “Texas Region Outstanding Top Executive Manager” award for 2015 and 2016.

In December of 2016 She moved to San Antonio to challenge herself on a new level as Co-owner of the Stone Oak Studio. She still has big dreams to widen her range of professionals that she can reach on a deeper level. “The moment that someone, Professional or Student, achieves something that they never thought possible is amazing! The look on their face the instant they’ve realized their “impossible” goal is in reach, is the reason I wake up every morning,” Steffany explains why she loves what she does.

Kaylee Fazio

New Student Specialist, Wedding Specialist, & Advanced Teacher

Born and raised in San Antonio, Kaylee has been dancing since she could walk. With a classical background, some of her fondest childhood memories were of the moments her Grandfather, Tommy, and her danced in the garage. Her grandfather is the driving force behind her passion for dance. She has been on the social scene in San Antonio since she turned 16, and loves the freedom that dance brings her to express herself.

Kaylee was approached by one of our very own FADS Professional’s, Anthony, to join our training class. She was eager to find her place among the Fred Astaire Team, so she took the leap, and joined the training class. Shortly after joining our Professional team, she was already brightening peoples days with her genuine smile and caring soul.

“I love helping people feel great about accomplishing things, and being able to use dance as the venue to accomplish this is such a blessing” Kaylee explains why she is passionate about her career.
