The Benefits of Working For Charities
December 3, 2018
Our charity season approaches, with the Pink Fund Dancing with the Survivors event coming soon and our partnership with the Rehabilitation Institute of Michigan Foundation leading to their fall event, too.
We love working with charities. It’s a win-win. We use dance to bring happiness to people and highlight a cause in a fun way, and the charity benefits. We benefit, too, from the exposure to a whole new audience.
But that’s not why we do it.
It’s been our mantra to always give back where we can. We use our skills, our abilities with dance, to help our communities in whatever way we can. It’s not only a good thing that we’re able to raise money with these events, but it feels good, too.
To hear the stories, work with individuals, the positive energy and connection permeates the studio, our teachers and our students, and everyone ends up feeling good.
It’s good for business, but that’s not the point. Yeah, we end up getting publicity for it, and accolades, but it feels good, and it does good, and that’s what counts.
I don’t like to toot our own horn about our charity partnerships, but I must admit, it’s a very cool thing, it’s fun, and we’re thrilled to be able to give back through dance.
