Lada Mountain – Instructor / Owner

Lada and her husband, Evan, opened the Bloomfield Hills Fred Astaire Dance Studio in 2005.

Lada started ballroom dancing at the tender age of 14 in her home country of Baku, Azerbaijan. Lada has taught dancing for the last 15 years in Russia, Germany and United States.

Bio: Donald’s passion for the performing arts started at a young age when he was a competitive figure skater. Having danced many styles, including ballet, jazz, and modern, Donald did not discover the beauty of the ballroom floor until his 20’s. Considering himself a “late bloomer” in ballroom and Latin dancing, Donald is proof that it’s never too late to start dancing ? because life is too short.

Yuliya Sinevych – Dance Director

Place of Birth: Ukraine

Bio:  Yuliya is an International Latin style champion from Ukraine. She has won many professional dance competitions throughout Eastern Europe. Yuliya has performed and taught in the Ukraine, Turkey, and Ecuador and on Royal Caribbean cruise ships, along with being the featured dancer in many shows in Latin America.

Aubrey Meade – Dance Instructor

Bio:  Early on, Aubrey was convinced that she had the heart of a performer. As a girl, she learned every instrument in her band program fluently. Growing up, her life revolved around rehearsing for the next opera or musical theater production. She toured as a classical vocalist in China and performed at the 2010 World Expo. Dancing has always been an integral part of her performance repertoire, and she delights in spreading the joy of ballroom dance with anyone who is willing to learn!

Yuliya Lukina – Dance Instructor

Place of Birth:  Belarus

Bio:  Yuliya started dancing in Belarus when she was 13 years old.  She was a member of the Public Union Belarusian Federation of Dance Sport, and she underwent extensive training under her coach, L.P. Kats-Lazareva, at Mara Dance Sport Club in Minsk.  Yuliya has participated in multiple national and international dance tournaments, concerts, local government sponsored events, and charity benefits.  Since her arrival in the United States, she and her professional partner have received impressive results and awards at various competitions including Can-Am Rising Star Rhythm Champions, Professional Rhythm finalists at the Cleveland Dancesport Challenge, Professional Rising Star Rhythm and Smooth Champions, Runners up in Professional Open Rhythm and Smooth at the Falls Premier Ball in Niagara Falls, Canada. They also won Professional Rising Star Rhythm and Smooth at La Classique Du Quebec.
Yuliya is a gifted dancer as well as an instructor who loves to help her students grow and reach their goals!

Viktor Tkachenko – Dance Instructor

Bio:  Viktor started dancing when he was 8 years old and continued his training at various studios throughout Ukraine. He graduated from Kharkov’s State Academy of Physical Culture and Sport with a Master of Sport in Ballroom Dance and Choreographic Art. His accomplishments include being a finalist and prize winner of international ballroom dance tournaments (IDSF, UFST, SGOSTY, TDSF). He has worked as a performer on cruise ships such as Silver Sea Company, performed in the “Ice World Festival” in Harbin, China, and worked as a performer at “The Venetian Hotel” in Macao, China. Since his arrival in the United States, he and his professional partner have received impressive results at various competitions including Fred Astaire NY/NJ Regional Rhythm Finalists and Mixed Novice Winner, Falls Premier Ball Rhythm Champions, Crystal Leaf Rhythm Champions, Can-Am Rising Star Rhythm Champions, and finalists in many American and Canadian professional competitions.  He is a highly skilled dancer and a wonderful instructor.

Tamerlan Gadirov – Dance Instructor

Place of Birth:  Azerbaijan

Bio:  Tamerlan is our Lead Choreographer and Instructor for wheelchair dance group, Dance Mobility.  He has been dancing his whole life and has a long list of competitions he has won around the world.

Mykhailo Annienkov – Dance Instructor

Mykhailo Annienkov – world champion in ballroom dancing (2013 y. Japan) Champion of the continental cup (2013 Moscow) Champion of Ukraine (2012 Kiev). Master of sports of international class. He started to dance at the age of 6. At the age of 14 he graduated the specialized dance school “Rhythm” and began his pedagogical career. In 2014, Mykhailo finished his studies at the department of choreography of the Rivne State University (RDU) and was awarded the title of Master of Choreography. The second higher education and his Master Degree as a professional instructor Mykhailo received at the International Economic and Humanitarian University (MEGU), at the Department of Physical Education and Rehabilitation in 2016. During his entire dance career Mykhailo was the winner and finalist of hundreds of international dance competitions in countries such as Japan, Germany, Slovakia, Poland, Russia, Turkey, Ukraine. He has hundreds of Trophies. He performed on behalf of such international federations as IDSF, WDSF, UFST, SGOSTY, TDSF, IDU. Highly professional coach and dancer with experience to teach people, children and people on wheelchairs.
