At a recent Fred Astaire competition in Orlando, we were pleased to receive the award of Top Studio Runner-Up – our second consecutive year at the number two studio in our national competition. We’re thrilled!
Not only is this quite an honor, it’s even moreso considering that the students who competed under our umbrella this year are different from those who helped us win last year. That means our teaching talent spreads far and wide, and goes deep, if we can bring totally new students to this competition and still take home the #2 studio spot.

Our winning students in Orlando were Mike Ziecik of Bloomfield Hills, MaryJo Voelpel and Larry Voelpel of Metamora, Barb Stawick of Bloomfield, Elaine Minkin of Bloomfield Hills, Cherie Liang of West Bloomfield, and James Bersalona of Troy.
Our winning instructors in Orlando were Donald Westphal, Yuliya Sinevych, Aubrey Meade, Viktor Tkachenko, Yuliya Lukina and Misha Annienkov.
Out of 100 studios competing, it’s quite an honor to come in second. Our next goal, of course, is to win top studio. Maybe next year?
