At Fred Astaire Dance Studio, one of the ways we are unique in dance instruction is that we assign our students not just one instructor, but two.
The second one is known as your “buddy teacher,” and it’s important to have two people teaching you the same dances because you gain from their different perspectives.
Plus, students learn faster when they have two teachers. You see different nuances, you don’t become too attached to one person, and you become rounded in your dance skills. That’s the benefit of having a buddy teacher.
For couples dancing together, it’s important to have male and female instructors – to show partner positions and also to give different perspectives on every aspect of dance.
And, if your primary teacher is traveling or out sick, you won’t have to delay your own learning or postpone lessons. We have you covered – thanks to your buddy!
