Every Single Dancer is Fascinating

Last week I stopped at the club to have dinner, and a friend said to me, “How’s the dancing going? I see you on Facebook all the time.”

I said, “It’s great.”

He said, “You know, that wheelchair dance thing you do must be amazing.”

I said, “Yeah it is, it really is amazing for us to work with people in wheelchairs and getting them to dance. But it really is amazing meeting all the different people we work with.”

In our business, we meet people from all walks of life and professions, we hear their stories. It’s easy to point out that someone has a disability and is dancing, of course it’s an impressive feat!

But so is working with everybody. Married couples. A single person. A divorcee or widower. It’s always really interesting, all the people that we meet. Everybody’s story is interesting.

And that’s the beauty of dance. It doesn’t matter who you are, where you come from, what obstacles you’ve overcome. You’re there and you’re energized, and we want to know you.
