Dance As Date Night

happy couple walking outdoor in autumn forest, cozy moodDo you have a regular date night? A time set aside when you and your partner connect, talk, catch up and remember why you’re together?

If not, you might want to consider scheduling a regular date night. And while you’re at it, consider devoting your date night to dance.

Many couples come to our studio as their regular way of connecting. Dancing is something they do together, and many go out before or after for a meal so they can debrief, catch up and have that one-on-one time.

Dance is a wonderful way to strengthen your relationship. (Check out our video on this here.) For the students who make their date night all about dance, they are almost religiously devoted to it, rarely missing, eagerly arriving to the studio for an experience that they know will strengthen their bond and deepen their connection.

The secret about dance is that the feel-good endorphins that pour forth once you get moving make it easy to be happy about your connection with your partner.

Some couples choose movies for date night, which can be fun, but is that really a way to deepen your connection? Think about… Sit side by side in a darkened theater, gazing not at each other but at a big screen and the story unfolding there.

Or, connect on all levels – physically, emotionally, spiritually, and more. What could be better for a relationship?
