I have been dancing for over 17 years in all different areas such as jazz, salsa, musical theater, hip-hop etc. While getting my bachelor’s degree in Syracuse University I fell in love with the ballroom dancing world. I became part of multiple dance teams and choreographed for many different dance genres and events. Soon after college in 2012, I became a Professional Certified Instructor at Fred Astaire Dance studios in Montville, NJ and have never looked back. I worked for 7yrs in the Fred Astaire company as an Instructor and Manager of the Montville location. Throughout my years as a professional I have accepted many awards such as Top Female teacher in the New Jersey Region, Top 10 Overall Teacher in the NJ Region, Top Rising Star Competitive couple, and 2018 Top Manger. I along with my professional partner have become Rising Star Finalist in multiple competitions.
What has inspired and fueled me to continue my journey in dance is all my students’ stories about what dancing has done for them, how it has helped them live a happier and healthier life. Now I’m excited for my next chapter which is bringing the wonderful benefits of dance to Bergen County. I am currently the Studio Director of the Fred Astaire Dance Studio in Oradell, NJ.
An advice I would give to all future students is: Don’t wait to start dancing, you are never too old or too young to dance and most importantly don’t be afraid to step out of your comfort zone, that’s where the fun is!
