BIO

Anastasia was born in Perm, Russia. She started ballroom dancing at the age of 5, and was part of the formation team “Circle of Friends.” She went on to become 5-Time Russian Champion, and represented Russia in the European and World Championships. She moved to the United States in 1998 and became 3-Time United States Nine Dance Champion in 2003, 2004 and 2005. She was also named the United States Theatrical Arts Champion in 2003. Anastasia retired from professional competition in 2005, and owned the Fred Astaire Dance Studio in Buffalo NY from 2005 to 2015. She currently works as the Fred Astaire Dance Studios’ New England Regional Dance Director.

Anastasia Abrashin is part of the prestigious Fred Astaire Dance Studios National Dance Board team that actively coaches our Students & Instructors in dance studio locations across our network, oversees Dance Instructor training and certification, judges (Professional, Amateur, Pro/Am) at Regional and National Fred Astaire Dance Studio Dance Competition events, and continuously reviews our proprietary dance curriculum to ensure only the finest, most up-to-date programs for our Students.
