The most important thing is choosing clothing that feels comfortable and allows you to move easily throughout your dance lessons. Comfortable shoes are also very important. For gentlemen, leather-soled shoes are recommended, while ladies should wear shoes with backs similar to what they might wear while social dancing. If you’ve already purchased your wedding shoes, feel free to bring them to your lesson so our Tucson dance instructors can determine whether they will work comfortably on the ballroom dance floor. Athletic shoes are generally not recommended because they tend to stick to the floor, making movement more difficult.
