Spotlight on QUICKSTEP! Quickstep comes from informal dance hall bands speeding up the slower version of the foxtrot. Immigrant communities across New York embraced this faster tempo dance, and it swiftly made its way to the mainstream and into the formal world of ballroom dance. Over time the Quickstep began to separate from the foxtrot.
